THE PROJECT

H&M Move was a retail display production project involving multiple parallel workstreams across assembly, electrical integration, pre-assembly, testing and packing.

I joined the project during its final production phase, when delivery pressure was already high and coordination between activities had become critical. The work required close synchronization between external teams, material availability and the sequence in which display units moved through production.

MY ROLE

After being assigned to the supplier warehouse, I identified pre-assembly and testing as the main production bottleneck. I introduced a more structured visual scheduling approach, improved material staging and tightened coordination between upstream activities to create a more consistent production rhythm.

PRODUCTION OUTCOME

The production workflow was progressively stabilized through tighter coordination between assembly, electrical work, pre-assembly and testing.

Applying Lean management principles, I focused on the main bottleneck in the pre-assembly and testing stages, reorganized the sequence of activities and prepared materials in advance to reduce waiting time and interruptions.

During the period in which I coordinated the workflow, daily completed-unit output increased from approximately 5 to 9 units per day.
